This wedding was so amazing! The setting was a rustic farm in Leesburg, VA in a beautiful barn on the countryside. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate with us that day and didn't allow for very many photos outside. When I arrived, Angela was beginning to get her makeup done and having the finishing touches applied to her hair. Once she finished her makeup and got her dress on, her mother and aunt came to help get everything fastened. They we all smiles! I love capturing those genuine emotions on a wedding day!
When the guys arrived, they headed over to the bar and had a beer together while the groom went over his speech for the reception. Soon after, it was time for the first look. The main house on the property had a front porch that was perfect to keep them out of the rain. Mike waited on the steps for Angela to come out the door and give him a tap on the shoulder. The look in his eyes was like he fell in love all over again! On the porch, they practiced their dance moves for the first dance and then we got ready to head into the ceremony. Before we left though, Mike's father, also the best man which I thought was so great, pinned Mike's boutonnière on his jacket.
The vows shared between Mike and Angela were beautiful and they had a special tribute to Angela's parents that I thought was a very nice touch. After some formal photos, the reception began and it was time to party! Angela and Mike had a great time dancing with family and friends. Im sure the open bar helped out a bit! We were planning a sparkler exit but because of the rain, we had to improvise. We had all the guests turn on their cell phon flashlights as they departed the venue and it came out beautifully!
